Today, Aliens fans will get their first look at Dark Descent in action, demonstrating the real-time squad-based action/strategy, as well as a release date!
Aliens: Dark Descent has been relatively quiet for the first time since it was announced at last year's Summer Game Fest. Today, however, comes a brand new trailer that shows off the gameplay for the first time: I'm surprised by what I've learned from it.
So far, I've been raving about the gameplay. It feels like an interesting mix of XCOM (in terms of tactics, viewpoint, permadeath, and outfitting your squad), but it also has the added real-time aspect that means you'll have to be quick on your feet to navigate the alien world. So, here's how it all goes.
Aliens: Dark Descent will launch on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Consoles, and PCs on June 20, 2023.
