The creator of the addictive VR games Moss and Moss: Book II has revealed that it is developing a new competitive VR game.
Although very little has been revealed about it, it appears that April will be when fans will get to know more because of a "closed" playtest, which will take place on the weekends of April 14th to 16th, 2023.
"We are pleased to see that the VR audience continues to grow, now numbered in the hundreds of millions of people, with more user-friendly and accessible headsets being released every year," said Tam Armstrong, co-founder and CEO of Polyarc. "We want to explore possibilities for multiplayer gameplay that will appeal to competitive players."
Moss and its sequel are on our list of the best PSVR2 launch games, as you can see in the video below.
Armstrong adds that observing the community of gamers out there and receiving some of our own feedback indicates that there are a lot of VR gamers who are looking for and want to engage in more competitive multiplayer games. The ability to see other players' intent as they move their head and hands are some of the benefits of playing games in person.
The competitive multiplayer is still under wraps until then, but the accompanying visuals suggest that there will be plenty of mouse-related content on it. It's also unknown which platforms the new title will be on, though we'd assume PlayStation VR2 and Meta Quest 2.
