The Daniels are on a journey to a faraway galaxy. The Everything Everything All at Once directing duo made up of Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert has been chosen (via THR) to direct at least one episode of the upcoming series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew for Disney+. Law is expected to bring in some well-known directors to play the characters.
Daniels may be involved in only one episode or may be directing several episodes and guiding the show. Jon Watts, who directed the most recent Spidey trilogy, is most likely to be joining the cast at some point, maybe at the Star Wars Celebration in May.
After Everything Everywhere All at Once dominated the entire awards season and set new records at the Oscars, the Daniels may produce one of the strangest, more creative episodes we've ever seen since Disney+ started its TV programs.
While the series started shooting over the summer and ended recently, the news of prominent directors being invested is encouraging. Disney has been on a bit of a canceling spree with Star Wars on the film side recently, seemingly scrapping both Kevin Feige and Patty Jenkins' Star Wars films.
