On Monday, March 20, Padma Lakshmi brought her 13-year-old daughter Krishna to the 11th Annual Blossom Ball at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. The mother-daughter duo posed for photos together in their stunning black gowns, much like her famous mother.
Padma was enthralled on the red carpet in a black plunging halter gown that revealed her petite body. The Top Chef host's look included a white flower clip she placed in her head, as well as a pair of silver earrings and a clutch purse she carried in her hand.
Krishna wore a black strapless mini-dress with a feathered train. Both women wore open-toed heels and a choker necklace.
Two days before the Blossom Ball, Padma and her daughter were seen out and about in New York City. Both wore casual outfits, while Padma wore an olive green coat over a black and white striped shirt, jeans, and brown heeled boots.
Padma has made a lot of effort to instill knowledge about endometriosis in her daughter over the years. She didn't receive the official diagnosis until she was 36, according to a recent Guardian interview.
Padma said in an interview that she would take two ibuprofen every month, and then return to basketball practice every month. I'd see college roommates, friends of mine, take two ibuprofen, and go back to basketball practice. I thought, 'What is wrong with me, that I can't handle one of the most fundamental parts of being female?' Fortunately, once Padma had her diagnosis in 2006, she was able to undergo the procedure that helped her.
