At the John Wick 4 premiere, Lance Reddick is honored by Keanu Reeves and others with blue ribbons ...

Lance Reddick passed away on March 17, just days before the release of his new film, John Wick: Chapter 4, on March 20. The cast and crew of the Los Angeles celebration wore blue ribbons as a tribute to Lance. The actor was given the ribbons upon arrival.

Keanu became emotional as he remembered a friend and colleague on the red carpet. “Every time he stepped on set, he was amazed by his drive for his work.”

"Lance is a wonderful person and as a special artist," he said in a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight. His warmth and dignity, his shining light of character, were "something truly special."

Lance passed away on March 17th, but he was not at the New York premiere of John Wick 4 for the couple of days prior to his death. Chad addressed the crowd at the Canadian premiere, saying, "He's a great guy and artist, a good friend," he said.

Keanu made a statement following Lance's death. "He was a pleasure to work with." His children, family, and acquaintances dedicate [John Wick: Chapter 4] to his loving memory. He will miss him dearly."
