Electronic Arts and developers from his studio Respawn Entertainment have shown a story trailer for his next Jedi action game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The Empire is named after Cal Castis, one of the last Jedi in the galaxy, and the hero will need to learn new abilities to maintain his connection to the Force.

A new trailer paints a bleak picture: the Resistance, along with Cal, hasn't achieved much success, "fear and mistrust rule the galaxy," and "hope is out of reach."

The actor in the foreground is a Jedi during the golden age of the Republic (High Republic).

Cal and a group of new and old acquaintances find "a place worth fighting for, no matter what." Where they "don't have to look over their shoulder." Where the Empire can't get them.

The one-and-a-half-minute teaser for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is mostly cutscenes, but it also contains a few gameplay clips, including partner fights and lightsaber battles.

Viewers of the video were surprised by 14 thousand views — in comparison to 200 dislikes. Users are particularly impressed by the Return of Fallen Order characters (in particular, Merrin and Griza) and new gameplay features.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is scheduled to be released on April 28 on PC (Steam, EGS, PS5, Xbox Series X, and S). The developers also promise a new and improved combat system as well as ray tracing.
