Square Enix has announced that it would upgrade the equipment used in Final Fantasy XIV North American data centers in preparation for future upgrades. A 24-hour maintenance period will be implemented beginning April 3, 2023.
Final Fantasy XIV's North American data centers will be replaced, but all data will be automatically transferred.
Square Enix will maintain all data centers until patch 6.38 is released for Final Fantasy XIV. The data centers that will be maintained will be Aether, Crystal, Primal, and the most recent one, Dynamis, which was released earlier with patch 6.28.
Square Enix has announced a new Producer Live letter for March 31, 2023. During this broadcast, the developers will discuss more content related to Final Fantasy XIV, including the release of part 1 of patch 6.4. The most recent update was Patch 6.35, which included new Loporrit tribal quests and a new Deep Dungeon.
Final Fantasy XIV is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
