Apex Legends is being supported by Respawn Entertainment ...

Respawn Entertainment has announced that they have opened a new studio to support Apex Legends. The studio will be led by Ryan Burnett, previously of Epic Games and Raven Software.

'Producing content at the scale and speed Apex requires is no easy feat,' says Respawn's vice president Greg Wilson in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz.

Apex Legends will be released in a new Respawn studio.

Ryan Burnett has mentioned to GIBiz that Respawn Wisconsin is a continuation of the core Apex dev team and will work together with the Los Angeles and Vancouver branches in the battle royale. Game Director Steven Ferreira has also stressed the importance of the Respawn Wisconsin team to the game's development.

Ferreria was optimistic about the Respawn battle royale's long-term future, saying, "We believe in Apex as a franchise that will last for 10, 15, or more," and we're excited to make that happen.

The last season of Apex Legends called Revelry was released in February and included remastered legends classes. The mobile version of the game has been closed since the 1st of May.
