In the teaser for Prime Video's fifth and final season, Midge Maisel has stars in her eyes.
The Season 5 teaser was unveiled today, just a month after the streaming service released the teaser trailer, where "Midge finds herself closer than ever to the success she's dreamed of, only to discover that closer than ever is still so distant."
Season 5 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will debut on Thursday, April 14, followed by additional episodes every week until the series' conclusion on May 26.
The teaser comes a year after Prime Video announced that The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel would be renewed for the final season.
Since The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4, Episode 8, Prime Video has shared that "creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino have known "exactly" what the series' "last images" and "last moment" were,"How Do You Get to Carnegie Hall?"
Midge, played by Rachel Brosnahan, will not only see her perform at The Gordon Ford Show, but will also get to know the man behind the program, as Midge strives to live her "big life."
Even if Midge describes her ability to say everything they think as "a terrifying connection," the sentiment seems to continue to resound among comedy enthusiasts.
Midge finds herself "closer than ever to the happiness she's dreamed of, only to realize that she's still so far away."
In the Season 5 teaser, Midge's friends remain optimistic about her career. "They'll see you for who you are, a goddamn star."
Midge may encounter familiar faces she may not want to see, including Milo Ventimiglia's return as "Handsome Man." Ventimiglia only appeared on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 Episode 7, "Ethan...Esther...Chaim."
Kelly Bishop and Luke Kirby will reprise their roles as Lenny Bruce in Mrs. Maisel's final season.
Kirby's absence from the cast list after being a series regular in Season 4 is foreshadowing a possibility of another appearance.
Tony Shalhoub, Alex Borstein, Marin Hinkle, Michael Zegen, Kevin Pollak, Caroline Aaron, Reid Scott, Alfie Fuller, and Jason Ralph star in Season 5 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino are the producers of the Prime Video series. Both are writers and directors of the program.
