Microsoft is releasing a new version of its Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) on Windows 11 through the Windows Insider Program (Dev and Beta Channels) and includes several enhancements and improvements to improve Android apps on Windows 11.
The update for Android 13 includes new features, such as improved graphics performance, external monitors and audio buffer issues, as well as security improvements, according to the GitHub announcement.
Changes to the update in March 2023
Here is a list of changes to WSA version 2302.4000:
- Stability improvements to graphics card selection.
- Updates to the Windows Subsystem for Android Settings app to include performance options for graphics cards.
- Docking and undocking with external monitors issues fixed with the subsystem.
- Fixes apps with audio buffer issues.
- Android 13 security updates.
The Windows Subsystem for Android update should be downloaded and installed automatically. However, you may always download it manually from the Library's page in the Microsoft Store app and by clicking the "Get updates" button.
