'Mayor of Kingstown' is a crime drama series starring Jeremy Renner that tries to keep the town calm as he confronts his archnemesis Milo Sunter (Aidan Gillen). SPOILERS AHEAD!
Recap of the second season of Mayor of Kingstown
Robert Sawyer (Hamish Allan-Headley) is left in the hospital while Kyle (Taylor Handley), Mike (Jeremy Renner) and Ian visit him. Kyle tells Mike that Tracy left him to spend some time at her father's house. Ian (Hugh Dillon) leaves after instructing Ian to keep him updated.
As he drives into the night, a car stops behind him, and two men shoot and kill him, claiming his life. There, Mariam McLusky (Dianne Wiest) is surprised when an unexpected guest knocks on her door. It turns out to be Iris (Emma Laird), who is looking for a hiding spot after killing Milo's right-hand man, Joseph.
Captain Kareem Moore (Michael Beach) is debating his survivor's guilt following his experiences during the prison riots. After Mike calls Kareem, he apologizes and refuses to assist Mike. He says he only wants to help Mike because he wants to do his job.
An angry Mike follows Bunny to his hideout and threatens to kill him. After a brief argument, Mike warns Bunny that if Robert dies, the friendship will end. Miriam calls Mike and asks him to return his bonds. Kyle avoids going to Tracy's house. Ian and Kip appear to help Mike during his confrontation with Milo.
Mike enters the house and creates a distraction leading to a gunfight. Miriam is hospitalized and is placed in a coma. Milo threatens to kill Iris if he does not do as instructed.
Season 2 of Mayor of Kingstown: Does Mike Save Iris?Is Milo still alive?
Mike collects the bonds and returns to the meeting spot specified in the episode's final act. However, Milo deduces that Mike wants to redeem himself by saving Iris.
Iris and Mike are saved by Mike by using the explosion as a distraction, putting Milo's story to rest once and for all. However, Tatiana, the woman who looks after Milo's club, receives a call from someone who sounds like Milo. For the time being, Iris is safe from harm's way, and Mike keeps his promise to protect Iris at all costs.
Do Kyle and Tracy Reunite?Is Mike still friends with Bunny?
Kyle and Tracy's marriage has been ruined as a result of Kyle's erratic behavior. However, after Tracy learns of Miriam's injury, she readily agrees to return to the show. Mike's friendship with Bunny has slowly deteriorated over the seasons due to a number of obstacles.
The friendship between Mike and Bunny is intact, despite Robert's recent death. However, as Mike's closing monologue illustrates, anything and everything may change in the town in a matter of moments. However, with the Crips gang taking care of Davidson, the shot caller who killed Mike, it is evident that Bunny still cares about Mike.
