The Little Mermaid trailer has not been reported on YouTube. The video has 222 thousand likes and 1.2 million dislikes, with a ratio of one to five.
The ratio between dislikes per like in the first days after the trailer was released was slightly better: there were only three dislikes per like. The second teaser remains the most popular video of The Little Mermaid: there are eight dislikes per like.
The Little Mermaid was criticized by most viewers for casting the lead actress: Halle Bailey, an African-American actress, and others who don't like the dark underwater world too much.
