Valve is developing a system of game notes in the Steam library, as well as a notification page ...

According to Pavel Dyundik, the largest digital marketplace for PC users will soon include a note-taking capability for games. These features will be included to the client app and online store in future updates.

As soon as Valve removes the old VGUI in the client, the notification page feature will be available in other versions in the future, according to datamining.

Steam users were ecstatic to learn that they would receive "game notes" since many gamers currently use a notepad or physical journal to keep track of in-game activities. It would be beneficial to users if the new features allow players to take notes easily on Steam instead of using third-party apps.

The community has speculated that the new note system will allow users to save photos in the future, although that's just a rumor. A well-known extension called Augmented Steam already has a primitive game note system for the Steam platform on PC.

The game notes feature is likely to be private, as moderating the publicly written notes for each entry will be a difficult task and a chore. Moreover, there are already many ways to connect with the community on Steam, such as discussions and guides.

The Steam Store's latest news will be kept up to date. Users may elect to only receive certain types of notifications, as in the mobile version. Many more options will be available to customize the experience according to each user's preferences.
