Capcom has done it once more. It's fair to say that the developer's series of retro Resident Evil games has produced some great results, with Resident Evil 4 meeting all expectations and becoming the second highest rated game of the year.
Resident Evil 4 is currently scoring a sky-high 93. A number of reviews have given the game a perfect 10, while most of them fall between 9.5 and 8.
Resident Evil 4 is the highest-rated game in the remake series, ahead of Resident Evil 2 (91 points) and Resident Evil 3 (79 points). It is currently second behind Metroid Prime: Remastered, which scored 94 points, and is currently tied for first place with The Witcher: 3 Wild Hunt Complete Edition.
The majority of Metacritic's top 10 games are actually remasters or remakes of favorite games. Persona 4: Golden is comfortably seventh with a score of 90, while Motive Studio's popular survival horror film Dead Space is not far behind with a score of 89.
