Final Fantasy 16's developers estimated that players would require about 35 hours to complete the game's narrative, while 70 to 80 hours for everything else.
Final Fantasy 16's story mode was conceived as a way that gamers would only complete the basics if they are too busy to complete the side quests, according to the director Hiroshi Takai and producer Naoki Yoshida in an interview with Famitsu.
"Final Fantasy 16 is a story-driven game that will take you on a rollercoaster journey," said Takai. "You'll see Clive's whole life journey, and it'll probably take 35 hours to complete the game."
Takai translates that spin-off content will be between 70 and 80 hours long, depending on how much players engage in it – and there's still a lot to be done. Players will need to complete side quests, upgrade abilities to the maximum, buy all accessories, and complete all monster hunts in order to complete them.
Final Fantasy Mode will allow players to copy statistics from their previous game file to the new one. This means you'll have to complete everything quicker than in Kingdom Hearts' Proud Mode. And for those who want even more, there will be a leaderboard.
