Is Donald Glover making a surprise appearance in the Swarm series?
Donald Glover does not appear as an actor in Swarm, but rather as the show's creator, writer, and director.
Atlanta residents were imagining if the actor, or his FX character, Earnest "Earn" Marks, would make a small appearance in the series, assuming the series' spiritual connection with Atlanta.
Glover directed the first episode of Swarm, titled Stung, which was attended by fans of the actor and rapper.
What is the connection between Swarm and Atlanta?
Swarm isn't canonically linked to Atlanta, at least for the time being, but writer Janine Nabors referred to it as a "sister to Atlanta" during an interview with Vanity Fair.
Glover described the series as a "post-truth" mashup of The King of Comedy in the same interview.
