Yes by YTL Communications has announced the start of the Nvidia GeForce Now beta testing for Yes 5G.
This follows the first announcement by a Malaysian telecom company to bring Nvidia's cloud gaming technology to the country and the first to offer such a service.
Cloud gaming allows anyone to play games on any device, such as a low-end PC or mobile device, or an Android TV for example, as long as there is adequate internet coverage. Devices only stream a video feed of a video game running on cloud servers.
As long as you already have the games on PC on the various PC launchers and accounts (Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect), GeForce Now will allow you to stream more than 1,500 titles. No additional purchase necessary; just link the accounts you have, and if GeForce Now supports it, you may play it over the cloud.
Plus, over 100 free-to-play games are supported, including games like Fortnite and Genshin Impact.
Existing Yes 5G customers may take part in the Exclusive Beta for Nvidia GeForce Now. The beta runs until April 10, and costs RM0 to try, although you can expect this to be a monthly subscription plan when it becomes live.
