Starfield has been assigned a "Restricted 18+" rating by the Australian Classification Board, implying that the game is not permitted for underage audiences because of its content.
Because of its strong language and themes of "moderate impact," "high impact" violence, "very light impact" nudity, and "high impact" drug use, Bethesda's sci-fi RPG received this designation. Please note that there will be no sex scenes instead.
Both The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4 were rated "15+" in Australia (in Europe, PEGI assigned both "18+"), suggesting that Starfield may include more violence and themes inappropriate for younger viewers than the company's previous games.
Starfield will be available on Xbox Series X|S and PC starting September 6, 2023, and will be included in the PC and Xbox Game Pass catalog at launch.
