Pixel 8 is a smartphone for those who believe that size is not the focus.
A reliable Onleaks whistleblower discovered the Pixel 8 Pro lacking renders. Now, the standard Pixel 8 has also shown its origins.
The Pixel 8 series is set to be unveiled at the next Google I/O Developer Conference in May. The phones will be released later this October as replacements for the Pixel 7 series from last year.
The next generation Pixel 8 has a compact and light form factor. It appears to be much smaller than its predecessor. The display has a center-aligned punch-hole notch, as well as thin bezels.
The smartphone has two cameras in a pill-shaped cutout and an LED flash located on the outside. Power and volume buttons are located on the right side of the speaker grille.
Onleaks claims that the Pixel 8 will be a compact device due to its 6.2-inch display, which will outperform the Pixel 7's 6.3-inch and considerably smaller bezels. Dimensions will be 150.5 x 70.8 x 8.9mm, (12mm with camera bump). It is 5mm shorter and 2mm narrower than the current Pixel 7.
The Pixel 8 will be powered by the search giant's new Tensor G3 chipset, according to rumors. Only one thing is certain that the younger version of the TV set and the leader do not have it. More details will be revealed at I/O 2023, starting May 10th.
