A controversial statement has been issued by the CMA about the Microsoft-Activision deal: Sony would keep indie and minor games hidden on the PlayStation Store without ever highlighting them and making them much harder to track down.
According to Sony's home consoles, the sales of his games are stagnating, while on Xbox they are increasing.
According to the anonymous study, most PlayStation players must already be aware of particular minor productions and then look for them on the PS Store, since on the latter "they rarely appear organically to users."
The Xbox store, according to the developer, has special sections dedicated to independent or small games that make it easier to learn about them. Also for this reason the sales of their games record more satisfactory revenues even if "Xbox has fewer consoles sold and active players than PlayStation."
The anonymous developer is among six companies who support the Microsoft-Activision merger, believing that the merger would benefit the industry. The CMA's final decision on the Microsoft-Activision deal is scheduled on April 26, 2023.
