Fuse Video games, a AAA studio focused on "blockbuster spectacle and player-centric improvements in social gameplay, self-expression, and creativity," has been founded by five ex-Criterion and Want for Pace builders.
In response to Eurogamer, Webster will be joined by head of content material Steve Uphill, head of manufacturing Pete Lake, head of operations Alan McDairmant, and head of know-how Andrei Shires. The queintet of builders left Criterion in December with over 90 mixed years of experience on the prolific racing studio.
Fuse Video games will be developed for consoles and PCs. Webster informed GI.biz that the team hasn't chosen a style for its debut: "Clearly arcade racers and open world racers are what we all know very deeply."
“However, we have performed round in different genres over the years, together with Battlefront, Battlefield, and VR.”
Webster and his colleagues want to build a store in Guildford, the same UK city Criterion calls its residence. The staff has already made up as many as 17 people.
The builders left Criterion just weeks after the studio shipped its latest Want for Pace sport in December. An IGN Want for Pace Unbound review praised the innovative new design while ignoring the lack of innovation.
