The Polish studio developed the famous Dying Light sequel in its own C-Engine, but has had to postpone development on numerous projects, including Chrome 2 and Warhound.
Dying Light 2 is a AAA "narrative-driven fantasy epic with an exotic open world," with Techland attempting to "combine and refine the best gameplay aspects" it is well-known for.
The studio has provided no further information on the game, including its choice of engine or publisher for the title, but has chosen to present a unique piece of concept art. The vast vertical landscape with Orient-meets-Occident medieval architecture provides support for theories of future sci-fi or magic-space themes, but such speculation will remain unconfirmed until the studio unveils further information.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch release as well as a new story DLC coming later in 2023.
