The Middle Empire, despite its budget, is highly anticipated in France due to its star-rich cast, which evokes the popular Alain Chabat adaptation. A statement that is reinforced every week as witness the French box office.
A potion isn't enough magical.
The weeks go by, and the box office rises. Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Empire is still on display, but the miracle does not appear for the last film directed by Guillaume Canet, which had claimed to have to reach six million moviegoers to make its production profitable. After its sixth week of operation, it had its worst results, with 95,037 admissions, both of which were twice the same as the fourth week (moreover 500,000 entries).
In the months to come, it is difficult to envision a reversal of the situation: Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Empire will need another sixteen weeks of training to transform the trial. Guillaume Canet will also have to see the one million euros promised to him evaporate in the event of seven million entries.

The cast is well-rounded, although the jokes used are too heavy for some. On the spectator side, the opinions are rarely measured, and this original Asterix narrative is often disjointed.
