As part of the ceremony BAFTA Games Fellowship 2023, ex-president SIE Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida will receive an award for her contribution to the industry.

Yoshida joined Sony in 1986, and was one of the first PlayStation users to participate in the release of games from third-party authors, and he worked with clients. Already in 2000, he was appointed to the position of Vice President of Sony Computer Entertainment America and later SHE Worldwide Studios.

Yoshida has been the head of the PlayStation division since 2019, which is responsible for assisting independent developers in their games — the award organizers paid tribute to the last award point.

In addition, a short interview was released in recognition of the announcement, in which the hero of the story talked about his love for independent games and the greatest moments of his career. Yoshida also talked about his grandmother's passing.
