Dead Island 2 is finally getting a PC and console release after a long time of development. This time, the right one. A developer comes to reveal the game's life: was the wait worth it?
How High Is Your Land?
As the developers of Dead Island 2 have stepped up, the game is (finally) set to be released on all video game machines.
Communication is speeding up, and some of the project's creators are resuming interviews here and there: this is the case of Adam Olsson, the creative director at Dambuster Studios, who addressed his baby at WSSFTech's microphone. Among others, he discussed the game's lifespan, i.e. how long it will take to finish it.
Typically, you will need about twenty hours to complete Dead Island 2's main story with a few side quests.

Adam Olsson explains that this lifespan does not include all of the extensive exploration (in cooperation, in particular) or the possibility of reworking a game with a different character.
In any event, we are far from the hundreds of hours of play promised by Dying Light 2: Stay Human a year ago, which may not be so bad for all players who are finally fed up with too many tedious games.
Dead Island 2 will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and Xbox One on January 21st. 2023.
