Jeff Grubb, a well-known insider, has revealed new undamaged information that Nintendo is planning to release a new console that will compete with the Nintendo Switch sometime this year. Considering the earlier speculation about a new hardware, Jeff pointed out that the upcoming graphical update for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet would be appropriate to accompany the release of the new console.
Grubb suggested that the new console would be like Switch 2 and Switch Pro, naming the new model "Super Switch," which may push the limits of existing portable consoles, while also demonstrating the Switch generation's importance and potential expansion.
Nintendo wants to expand its customer base rather than recruit new customers, as Sony and Microsoft have previously stated.
Given the amount of rumors around Nintendo consoles in the last year, it's better to wait for the company's official statement, although it's not likely that it will say anything at all.
