Tito Joe "TJ" Jackson, a 44-year-old member of 3T, who he formed with his older brothers Tariano Adaryll "Taj" Jackson II, said he wasn't surprised by Janet's "oversexualized" performances on Twitter Monday night. According to Page Six, the video depicted the "Together Again" singer seductive dancing and even pretending to perform oral sex on a fan.
"I never liked when she did this in concerts," Janet said in a Feb. 27 tweet, which he attributed to Janet's fifth studio album, which was released in 1993.
TJ replied in response to a user who suggested that TJ has a "diminished opinion" because Janet is his "literal aunt" he responded, "Nah...I didn't like it...it just diminishes her amazing ability." #respect.
TJ had a response when he asked him what his aunt's difference between Janet and Michael was. "My aunt got a lot dirtyer than my uncle," he responded.
TJ said when a fan tried to repeat the Prince and Michael example once more, he backed down. "When you take a whole song and make it a shock and awe song and video (like WAP and others), it ain't good for your daughters nor mine," he said.
Cardi B's 2020 hit, "WAP," was criticized in one of his numerous other tweets on the subject. "I wish you would respect the black women we use in our music videos, and if you are serious about making a difference, stop supporting the negative image most female black celebs today portraying."
He later retracted his responses to tweet his own message. "To all black women out there... know your worth," he wrote. "Don't sell yourself short. Become the queens you are meant to be."
TJ admitted that he never said his Grammy-winning aunt a h**. "Never did. Never would." TJ firmly stated. "It's not even crossed my mind."
As of this writing, Janet has not publicly commented on TJ's criticism of her dance moves. She may therefore not have time to pay attention to the noise.
