Avril appeared unbothered in a new Instagram post that same day, as she attended Paris Fashion Week. Along with a black and white heart emoji, the "Complicated" songstress wore a suit with black and white accents that said, "Break My Heart," "Be Yourself," and "Be Patient." At the time, the 38-year-old blonde beauty has yet to publicly reveal her relationship with Mod.
Avril and Mod's reps confirmed the breakup to Page Six just one month before their one-year engagement anniversary. "If anything has changed, that's news to him," Avril's group told the outlet. "The show will continue tonight and tomorrow and for the rest of the tour," said the "Down" musician's reps.
Avril told PEOPLE in 2022 that she was actually considering a break from dating until she met Mod. “I knew immediately that things would improve every day. It was like I had known him forever.”
