The main story length in Final Fantasy XVI will be around 35 hours ...

Famitsu, a Japanese outlet, recently discussed how long it would take to beat the length of the game and the content included. The main Final Fantasy XVI story will take around 35 hours to complete. The overall total will be about twice that amount when all side content is included.

Final Fantasy XVI's director Takai stated in an interview that players would take between 35 and 80 hours to complete the main story. While Yoshida added that finishing it with a hundred percent completion and seeing all cutscenes might take between 70 and 80 hours.

The average time it might take for a player to complete Final Fantasy XVI to grow longer, according to the developers. FFXVI will include 11 hours of cutscenes, not including custscenes included in side quests and other events that aren't related to the main story, so the total amount of custcene time will be higher.

Yoshida talked about the long-distance schedule that the development team has been working on, stating that the project has been "working to death" in order to get the game finished by Summer 2023.

Final Fantasy XVI will be released for PS5 on June 22, 2023. The game may also be available on PC after a six-month exclusivity period.
