When it comes to his directorial debut with Creed III, Dr. Dre applauds Michael B. Jordan's dedication to the task at hand.
Dre recalls thinking the actor was initially idiot for staring in a film he was also directing when he spoke to Entertainment Tonight.
'I thought he was out of his mind,' said the Compton native, 58. "It's like, you have to be crazy to do that, because it's extremely difficult."
"I was so proud of him," Dre added. "I said, 'Listen, man,' you know, what's going to come out of your head next in terms of direction. It was remarkable.'
Jordan's debut, according to Dre, was a successful effort. "I thought they did an outstanding job," he added. "I'm really proud of it."
Jordan wants to expand the Creed III franchise. "I planted a lot of seeds in this film to sort of like, move forward in a bunch of different directions," said the 36-year-old.
“We have a variety of different platforms we can experiment with. There are TV spinoffs, animation, video games, graphic novels, and comic books.”
This Friday (March 3), Creed III will be released.
