During a snowstorm, Kelis candidly explained how she and her children were almost involved in a car accident.
On Monday, the singer said she intends to take her family to Big Bear Lake in San Bernardino County, California.
According to the Big Bear resort's website, the region experienced the snowiest February in 20 years, with more to be expected as soon as Tuesday morning (Feb. 28).
"My intention was to take the kids to the snow, but we almost fell off a cliff," she wrote on Instagram. "Make the most of what you get, and always be prepared lol."
"Well here's the thing...my truck got stuck. We've been outside for a while, but we had all this snowboarding gear." So God is good. And I figured if you're going to be in a situation, you should at least wear layers to keep warm.
The singer of "Milkshake" wore a knee-length puffer coat, fur accessories, and silver metallic boots. A safety light lighted her head for the pitch-black scene.
"I've got my light on, thank God, because it's pitch black out here," she said. "You know, things could be worse. This is rescue fashion. See? Always be prepared."
The 43-year-old singer has three children: Knight, a 13-year-old son Shephard, and Galilee, a 2-year-old daughter.
