So far, 2023 has been a good year for smartphones — we've seen new and unique approaches to mobile phone technology, such as foldable phones and satellite communication, to name a few. One breakthrough in particular is the introduction of under-display cameras, although the trend seems to have somewhat slowed down.
ZTE's upcoming phone, the Nubia Z50 Ultra, will have a camera embedded beneath the screen. It's a fairly new concept that has yet to be commercialized internationally.
The phone's display will have a 6.8-inch flat-panel OLED made by BOE. The camera will have a 2.24m pixel size and an F/2.0 aperture, though nothing else is predicted in terms of overall specs. On March 7, the company will unveil the device in full, including pricing and market availability.
