Spotify has undergone a lot of changes over the years, experimenting with (and often withdrawing) new features and capabilities, as well as its mobile and desktop applications. As such, the music platform has announced that it will make a small change to its in-app layout.
Spotify's "Heart" icon and its "Add to playlist" icon will be combined into a simplified, single symbol, according to Spotify's official statement.
Spotify claims that this new feature will allow users to save their favourite tracks and podcasts in a more organized manner, as well as saving time for users by allowing them to edit many playlists at the same time during testing. The new feature is expected to launch for all users worldwide on both iOS and Android beginning today, and will extend to other users in the coming weeks and months.
