Although Ant-Man: Quantumania has been released since February 15, the film's latest adventures are unable to persuade both the public and critics. Despite the director's intentions, the recent box office statistics are pretty poor.

Is this a false start for Phase V?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse Saga comes to an end with Black Panther (2): Wakanda Forever, where Kang is the main antagonist. One of the Avengers' most famous enemies, the character is a frequent foe of Thanos from the previous series. For the first time, fans were eager to see him in his Kang the Conqueror form.

The hype was there when we learned that Ant-Man 3 would be the film that will perform this role for the first time on the screen. Unfortunately, the critics and the public are unable to dissect the rest of the feature film, which currently has a critical rating of 48% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Is the MCU in a state of flux?

Ant-Man: Quantumania received $120.4 million for its first opening weekend, the highest in the Hollywood film industry. A high score, therefore, placing the feature film in a category comparable to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's major projects.

Ant-Man: Quantumania was reported to be $32.3 million, almost four times less than the previous week. This is the most significant box office loss for Marvel. In the past, Black Widow was the most successful film, but in 2021, it was not all about Scott Lang or the "Ant-Family" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
