FromSoftware has announced that it is working on the first expansion of the Elder Ring in Shadow of the Erdtreethe.
The Elden Ring DLC was announced via a Twitter post, which included artwork. Currently, the studio has not released any further information, including the ending date. However, there is talk of a "expansion coming soon," which suggests that we won't have to wait too long to experience new adventures in the Interregnum.
"Get up, Senzaluce, and let's establish a new path together," reads the comment. "An upcoming Elden Ring expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, is currently in development. We wish you many wonderful adventures in the Interregnum."
While in the background, a large tree (the Sacred Tree of Miquella?) emerges. A person with long golden hair rides a steed, surrounded by what appear to be ghost tombs.
Due to her close association with Elden Ring, Miquella's twin might be Malenia's. The gold in the tree might also be a reference to Miquella's affection for Pure Gold, which she uses to control Malenia's Rot.
We know that a lot of cut Elden Ring content is dedicated to Miquella, and her central role in a DLC has been rumored for a while. However, take these findings with a grain of salt.
We just have to wait to find out more. In the meantime, we suggest you view our Elden Ring DLC preview.
