Square Enix has announced a merger with its sister company Luminous Productions, which will take effect on May 1. Luminous Productions was founded in 2018leader Final Fantasy XV. During its existence as a separate brand, it has released only The prophesied.
The acquisition is apparently part of Square Enix's current business strategy to increase its competitiveness in its development studios. "TeamLuminous Productions has expertise in areas such as game engine development."
