One of Square Enix's subsidiaries, Luminous Productions, will be combined into Square Enix (via RPG Site).
From the 1st of May 2023, Luminous Productions will no longer be its own company. The company's remaining duties include addressing Forspoken's performance and DLC in Tanta We Trust.
The Luminous employees' technical expertise in triple-A game development and engine development will be applied to Square Enix's other HD games, according to Square Enix. Click here to see the whole official announcement from Square Enix:
The popularity of Forspoken has largely to do with the game's poor reviews, though it's not a complete loss of interest. Also, keep an eye on ex-Luminous developers and programmers updating their LinkedIns and resumes.
