Fans expressed their admiration for the game, which they described as "underrated," and regretted that due to the confrontation between Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear series, and Konami, the game was unfairly targeted by the "fanatics" of Kojima, who refused to critique the game in a normal way.
Metal Gear Survive is a PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One game that is part of the Metal Gear Solid series. It takes place in the 22nd century (approximately 100 years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear Rising), on a post-apocalyptic Earth that has been destroyed by a giant creature called "Overlord dust." The game received mixed reviews from video game reviewers as well as mostly negative ones from casual gamers.
