Obsidian Entertainment reiterates how much she is still interested in Fallout New Vegas, one of the most popular RPG series chapters ever. Although there are no official plans in this regard, the creators of the game have stated that they are open to the possibility of reimagining the title for current generation consoles.
Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, long-time partners responsible for directing Obsidian's The Outer Worlds, have told The Gamer that they would be thrilled to remake Fallout New Vegas, which was originally released in 2010 for PC and consoles. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
"Not that it's up to me, but a graphical remaster of Fallout New Vegas would not be fantastic," Cain said during the interview. "That would be fantastic," Boyarsky agreed.
According to insider Jeff Grubb, Obsidian and Microsoft had begun discussions on a possible Fallout New Vegas sequel, with the latter having expressed great desire to develop it. Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart recently stated that he would like to develop another Fallout game from the studio's production in the late 1990s: "We're not working on Fallout," he said.
