The rumors were already brewing a bit in advance, but now it's also officially confirmed: The current Pokémon Crimson / Crimson will get a two-part, large DLC.
The Pokemon Company has announced a two-part DLC for the smashing Switch title Pokemon Crimson / Crimson as part of today's Pokemon Presents. The additional content will be released later in 2023.
The first part of the Crimson/Purple DLC is called "The Teal Mask" and will be released in autumn. A completely different area with traditional Japanese influences awaits you.
The area you visit as part of a school excursion is called Kitakami and also has new legendary Pokémon to offer. The first graphic also depicts new characters, a boy and a girl, and three Pokémon.
The next add-on content is called "The Indigo Disk" and focuses more on the study aspect. As an exchange student, you will go to the Blueberry Academy, although it is currently quite unclear what you will do there, although it appears to be more about fighting.
Both parts are expected to bring back some Pokemon that weren't included in the base game, such as Milotic and Ninetales in Part 1 and Metagross or Seel in Part 2. However, Pokemon Home functionality will be released in early 2023, as will Pokemon connectivity GO.
