Phil Spencerhead Xbox shared new thoughts on the long-awaited agreement between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard in the United Kingdom. The Xbox will continue to exist, even if the deal is banned, according to the author.
Phil claimed that the commission seemed to protect PlayStation. Spencer said he believes there is a lack of knowledge among regulators about the gaming industry. Also, the CEO of Xbox wants to create reasonable competition in the console market.
"This is an important acquisition for us, but it isn't a long-term move — Xbox will continue to exist if this transaction doesn't go through."
Competition is one area where we are striving to become stronger. I don't believe that excessive competition among consoles would harm players in any way.
There was a severe lack of government regulators' knowledge of the gaming industry. I appreciate their time and, in some cases, their help with recommendations. This is the first time for many regulators that they have taken notice of this sector.”
Phil Spencer is a retired journalist who has been a keen observer of the English language.
Recall that the $69 billion merger between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard is expected to go. Microsoft has promised to release Call of Duty on Nintendo consoles.
