The Nintendo Switch eShop for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has been temporarily closed

The Nintendo Switch eShop for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has been temporarily closed ...

The Guardians of the Galaxy is Marvel's last Marvel game published by Square Enix. Square was dissatisfied with the performance and low sales of their latest games and how little the costly Marvel license provided.

The Guardians of the Galaxy game will stop selling for a season, but only the Nintendo Switch's Cloud Version.

Eidos has confirmed this on Twitter: From February 27, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: Cloud Version It will no longer sell on the eShop, but it will return on April 1st (or so they hope).

Eidos Interactive will publish Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy for Nintendo Switch.

What is the purpose of this movement? Eidos states that this has nothing to do with the fact that it is a streaming version, although something similar has not occurred in the PlayStation, Xbox, or PC versions...for the time being.

Eidos Interactive Corporation will publish Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy rather than Square Enix, and the project will require a "proper editor transition."

Square Enixas' continued publishing of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy in the other versions is logical, since they have the licenses to exploit the game, at least for a time.

Square Enix has splintered more rapidly and Eidos has taken control of the game on Switch, since it is a digital only version and quite "particular" since it relies on some servers. It would not be strange if, sooner or later, similar things happen in the other versions.

The other Marvel game, Marvel's Avengers, will stop selling in september 2023, and it can no longer be purchased.
