Spacer's Choice Edition for the current PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is scheduled for March, and owners of the last-gen versions and the associated extensions may enter the new generation with a paid upgrade.

The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition includes the base game as well as all add-on content, and is "the ultimate way to enjoy Obsidian Entertainment's famous RPG."
Players who have already owned The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition and the DLC Murder on Eridanos and Peril on Gorgon can upgrade to The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition, but only within the same console family.
PlayStation customers may obtain the following two upgrade options:
Players who own all DLC for The Outer Worlds and the PS4 base game must login to a PS5 console using the same PSN account that purchased the PS4 base game and its accompanying DLC. The game disc must be inserted into the PlayStation 5 console and must be linked to the same PSN account that they used to purchase the game's DLC to upgrade.
Improved graphics, improved performance, increased animations, higher-resolution environments, and other innovations make "The Outer Worlds" a winner in the Spacer's Choice Edition. Thus, higher level caps give players more opportunities to develop their character on one of the seven skill branches.
Features of DualSense are supported.
The DualSense controller's triggers and haptic feedback are also supported in the PS5 version. So players should feel different trigger effects when using weapons depending on their weapon type.
