Phil Spencerhead Xbox made fresh observations on the long-awaited collaboration between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard in the United Kingdom. The Xbox will continue to exist, even if the deal is not banned, according to the main speaker.
Phil said he was surprised that the commission seemed to protect PlayStation. Spencer said he believes there is a lack of knowledge among regulators about the gaming industry. Also, the CEO of Xbox wants to create fair competition in the console market.
"This is an important purchase for us, but it isn't a long-term move – Xbox will continue to exist if this agreement doesn't happen."
Competition is one area in which we are striving to become stronger. I don't believe that the widespread competition among consoles would harm gamers in any way.
There was a real lack of government regulators' knowledge of the gaming industry. I appreciate their time and, in some cases, their advice. This is the first time for many regulators that they have taken notice of this industry."
