The Antonov AN-225, a massive Ukrainian jet, that was severely damaged by Russian troops during the invasion exactly one year ago, has been made available for PC from today.

The package costs € 19.99 and will be available for Xbox Series X | S by the end of March, and all proceeds will be used to repair the aircraft: a very interesting initiative for Microsoft Flight Simulator, which reached ten million users last December and certainly has the resources to carry out such operations.

In fact, we are talking about a pure and simple desire for planes and a desire to preserve them, even more so when it comes to such specific models. The Antonov AN-225 is a unique example of a project that should have resulted in the birth of two planes rather than just one.

The airplane's technical specifications include an aircraft that measures almost 84 meters in length, an 18 meters in height, and a wingspan of approximately 88 meters. It can carry up to 254 tons and reach a maximum speed of 853 km/h.

Microsoft has requested funds to support a reconstruction project that involves the use of components from the second model of the AN-225, which was never built, that would enable the aircraft to fly again.
