The chip is ineffective when it comes to rendering speed.
Zhihui Microelectronics, a Chinese company, has demonstrated the Zhihui IDM929 graphics chip, which has 2.5 teraflops of performance, while the GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card has similar performance.
Zhihui IDM929 is suitable for discrete graphics cards as well as notebooks, and it is powered by a 14-nm process technology at a frequency of up to 1.2 GHz.
The entire capabilities of the chip have not yet been disclosed. Zhihui IDM929 is known to render textures at a rate of 76.6 gigatexels per second, and pixels at a speed of 19.2 gigapixels per second. For comparison, the GeForce GTX 1650 is capable of 53 gigapixels per second and 93 gigatexels per second.
It is important to note that the actual performance of the chip may be significantly inferior to that stated. For example, the Chinese MTT S80 graphics card, which is officially comparable to the GeForce RTX 3060, showed performance comparable to the GeForce GT 1030.
Zhihui Microelectronics is currently working with Hangzhou Guoxin Technology on a platform that combines the Zhihui IDM929 graphics processor with an unnamed CPU.
