The total amount of user donations for the development of a massive space simulator Star Citizen from the Cloud Imperium Games studio reached $550 million, with a total of 4.4 million registered contributors.
Recall that the game's creators reported $ 500 million in collected donations at the end of September last year. In just five months, caring contributors donated another $50 million to Chris Roberts' studio.
Cloud Imperium Games is currently working on the alpha version of 3.18, but there is also information about the planned content for the 3.19 update. They discussed the development of new materials (copper, aluminum, iron, and others) and novel methods to mine them.
Star Citizen isn't even having a rough release date as of today, as it is for its massive story spin-off Squadron 42.
