The first part of the final season of Attack on Titan will air this Friday.
Takuya Suezawa worked as an animation director on the second episode of Attack on Titan Season 2, yesterday, the anime revealed a second animator – Michel Sugimoto.
The second part of the anime is scheduled to air sometime this year. According to studio MAPPA, the finale was supposed to air in one piece, but due to the amount of work required had to be split.
Hajime Isayama's manga series was serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from 2009 to 2021. The last, 34th volume, released in June 2021, was adapted by WIT Studio. For the fourth season, which was titled Attack on Titan Final Season, Part 2 was announced.
Both parts of the Final Season were directed by Yuichiro Hayashi, who credited Hiroshi Seko with the series' composition and the scripts. Shintaro Kawakubo, the Kodansha editor for Attack on Titan, was credited with the story composition. The same main staff is returning for the big finale:
