Cereza and the Lost Demon is a prequel to the Bayonetta series that follows the titular character back when she was known as Cereza. Cheshire, her demon-possessed doll, assists players in solving puzzles and defeating enemies.
Cheshire had previously acted as the witch Viola in Bayonetta 3, where he maintains his doll-like form. It is possible that Bayonetta Origins will provide more information about the characters' past before a Bayonetta 4.
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon will be released on Nintendo Switch on March 17 2023, while Bayonetta 3 is now available for purchase on the Nintendo Switch.
