Fantasian's Creator Discusses PC Port and Possible Sequel

Fantasian's Creator Discusses PC Port and Possible Sequel ...

Hironobu Sakaguchi, the father of the Final Fantasy series, stated that he would be interested in a PC release and a sequel to Fantasian. However, there is no concrete confirmation as yet in regards to either. Sakaguchi's comments indicate an interest in continuing to expand on Fantasian. [Thanks, IGN!]

The whole quotation from Sakaguchi's book on Fantasian is: "I wish to continue to do my best and work on it." There is no specific promise or commitment in his remarks, and what must or must be done behind the scenes at Mistwalker is unclear.

Fantasian was published by Apple Arcade in 2021. Hironobu Sakaguchi was the author, and Nobuo Uematsu (also of Final Fantasy fame) was the composer. It has a unique diorama style as well as an attack aiming mechanic. In an alternate universe, Leo is portrayed as an amnesiac boy who is not aware of any microtransactions.

Despite Sakaguchi's desire for a PC port, Fantasian is only available via Apple Arcade.
